My first dream box...or at least my best box ever???

Hey guys. I've been slowly searching 3 half boxes I picked up on Friday. So far the first two boxes only produced one 40%. But I just opened the last box and I was very happy to find a bunch of enders....at least 8 x 40% including 2 double enders - my first double enders ever!

I got these boxes from the same bank I got a great 36 keeper box (my second best box ever) just the day before. And all the boxes had the same code on them too. Well that 36 keeper box I got on Thursday strangely only had one ender (the very first roll lol). And I know enders don't always indicate very accurately how many total silver there might be but I have a very good feeling about this box, esp with 2 double ender rolls. So before I get started I thought Id see if any of u all would care to make a guess on what my total might be for the box. Its a flat String box so I haven't even looked at the other ends of all the rolls but like I said I counted at least 8 x 40% enders including 2 double ender rolls.

I know it may be a long shot to hope this might be my first 100 keeper dream box but it just might at least be my best box ever. My best box ever was a 38 keeper box with 27 x 90% and 11 x 40% I got a little over two years ago. Since the keepers in that box were mostly 90% I always figured that box would be tough to beat - but this just might be the box to do it. I sure hope I'm not being too hopeful and don't just wind up with 10-12 total keepers lol.

Well, no prizes but feel free to make your guesses and wish me luck. I'll be posting results and hopefully pics of stacks of silver porn later today.

Btw, I just remembered - this just happens to be my 50th half box of the year. Just thought that was kinda interesting and a good way to celebrate and finish 50 searched boxes so far this year lol.

Well the second half of the box doesn't appear to be as good as the first half. I only found 22 confirmed 40% keepers including 6 enders (2 of those being on a double ender roll). So now I have a total of 50 x 40% confirmed keepers with 12 ender rolls (2 of those rolls being double ender rolls) still to open. So it looks like its unlikely to be a dream box after all but hopefully it might be close if I can find some loaded rolls with these ender rolls.

Well guys, it wasn't the dream box I had hoped for and I havent done the exact calculation comparison yet but I think it qualifies as my best box ever in terms of total silver. The box total was 80 x 40% silver keepers. Unfortunately no 90% keepers but I sure cant complain with 4 rolls of 40% silver from just one box. The three best rolls had 7 x 40% each including the very first roll and two of the single ender rolls. One of the double ender rolls had 6 x 40% total and the other double ender roll had 4 x 40% total.

And I sure hope I tapped a silver vein with boxes at this bank and there's still more loaded boxes to come.

Btw, I think Joe777Cool had the closest guess with 77.

In todays terms, that has to be a dream box. I think my best box ever was 11 - but I now only do cwr's.

btw I changed from 80 to 77 at the last second because my lucky number is 7 lol

SilverFace, great job! I haven't seen a box like you had today in over 3 years... They truly are a rare sight to see, glad you were able to add much more silver to the stack... I would up next week's orders if possible.

Thanks guys. It sure was a fun box to search. Though it woulda been a little more fun if it had some 90%ers mixed in but I'm sure not complaining lol. And I was already having my best week of the year before this box so this box just made an already great week even better. And earlier last week I was already giving some serious thought about increasing my volume so this week is pretty much convincing me I should definitely give it a try.

And Im guessing these might be some older boxes because the tellers lately have to keep taping them up to keep them from falling apart. In fact when I was there Friday the teller was taping up one box on the counter and half the box spilled out on the floor lol. But maybe the boxes coulda got wet or damp and softened up some because I noticed a lot of the silver coins had kinda a greenish color to them, maybe mildew I suppose. And I have my regular order of 2 boxes to p/u from this bank next week but after this 80 keeper box and a 36 keeper box from this same bank just the day before I might see if I can increase my volume at this bank a little more in the future. Hopefully I've really tapped into a silver vein at this bank and there's still more loaded boxes yet to come.

Thanks. My best box before today was a 38 keeper box also that had 27 x 90% & 11 x 40%. But if my figuring is correct this 80 x 40% keeper box has slightly more silver but both boxes are very close in terms of total silver. I was really hoping I had a dream box though with 12 ender rolls - 2 of which were my first ever double enders. And then I open the very first roll and it had 7 keepers - and that wasn't even an ender roll lol. So I was thinking this box could have 100+ easy. Oh well, I'll settle for a loaded 80 keeper box.

The most ive found in a roll is 4, and ive found that about 4-5 times, once the other night when I opened my Ender box.

This box had 3 rolls that each had 7 keepers and one of the double ender rolls and the very last roll had 6 keepers each. But unfortunately there were about 21 rolls that were all clad so that's why my total wasn't more than it was. I think the best roll from that great 38 keeper box I got a couple of years ago had 3 Walkers in the next to the last roll - that sure was sweet.
