Im new to detecting and just got a Garrett sea hunter mark ll. its my first time detecting and to be honest I loved the trill of digging whenever I got a hit but if there is anyone that can give me advise on how to find gold on the beach with it I will appreciate it. I was there for almost two hours and dont regret it. Thanks in advance for any help or tips.

Welcome to the wonderful world of treasure hunting (and TNet)!

May you find lots of gold, silver and coins....

Good luck to you. Dig everything and if you walk over it you will find it!

The more you swing that coil the more you will find. Pay attention to where most people set up their towels and such. Many people will set jewelry on the towel, forget it's there, then shake the towel out when they are getting ready to leave...and the rings go flying. But you'll probably find that most rings are lost out in the water. So get a long scope and wade out into the surf.

Also there is lots of competition out on the beach. So be early.
