My first finds!!

Today my Silver Umax finally came in so i took out to the yard after putting it together and reading the manual. I had never owned a metal detector before so im really happy with what i found today.

I will appreciate some tips for the Silver Umax since im new to metal detecting. Thank You.

It's a good start.

I run my discrimination just to the left of the F in FOIL and my sensitivity at 9-10.

Depending on your soil mineralization you may have to run the sensitivity lower.

Swing low and slow and level and get out there and find some goodies!

Nice of you to join us. Dig every signal you get when you start (except iron). It may be discouraging to dig up foil and pull tabs, but when you find that gold... it's just awesome. Good Luck and HH
