My first Indian Head!!! Bummer.

Hey Gang,
Last Saturday I had a chance to get out for a while and I found my first Indian Head! I know, that sounds good on the surface, but, it was quite the let down. I would have posted earlier, but, my camera just came home. Anyhow, to make a long story short, here is a pic of my first Indian Head:

It is a cheapo little kids aluminum ring! I could have taken a shot from the back to show the 'adjustable band' and hollow head, but, we all know what a bubble gum machine ring looks like! On the other hand, anyone that thinks a Fisher F75 isn't any good at picking up small targets, should think again! The little earring back, beside the Indian Head is very small. It chimed in with a solid 26 VDI and I dug it hoping for my first gold, no chance. However, it was at the bottom of a hole that was almost as deep as my Garrett Pro Pointer, that would put it at about 7" deep. Had it not been for the PP, I would have had a time finding it......it was just another piece of dirt!

One of these days I'm going to find that COPPER Indian Head and that first piece of gold!!

The more I look at that picture, the more I realize that is THE ugliest depiction of an indian I have ever seen......his eyes don't even line up!

I think the little item in the picture is that indians peace pipe. That would explain why his eyes are crooked, and he's wearing lipstick.

That looks more like a African Bushman than any indian i have ever seen.......
