it was a great day out today so i took off work to get some yard work done and after a few hours i started getting that itch... you all know what im talking about the one where you cant stand it any longer and you have to go break out the md... so off i went to an old homestead on my parents property about a mile a way its over grown but you can still swing if you go slow so im there for about 10 min finding the usual scrap iron (this place has a ton of it) and i get a good signal and out pops an old spoon... so i stick it in my shirt pocket check the whole and go on.. about 6 min later i get a solid penny reading at 6" and dig what looks to me to be a round buckle made of copper but part of it is folded ( i think its a buckle because after i got home and rinsed it off you can see 2 marks one on oppiset sides where something was attached
) so i put it in my pocket and continue on through the brush and sticker bushes and then i get the signal..... one i havent locked on to ever... but its close to the surface and everything else has been 4" + i didnt even have to dig but an 8th of an inch and out pops a large disk.....omg i thought its a large cent.... so i scaned the spot and tryed to continue but i couldnt the excitement of what i thought i just found over took me and i had to make a B line to my truck and headed home to rinse all my goodies off....... its a large cent allright.. a 1905 canada cent that has a hole in it for a necklace
