It has taken me over 3 years to find my first silver dollar. It is a Morgan from 1921 in very fine condition. I have found half's, quarters and dimes but never the full dollar. I was able to find four houses in what is now a field on a topo map from the turn of the century. I am a firm believer that a lot of the work in metal detecting is the research you can never do to much of it. So after five or six hours of walking up and down corn rows swinging the detector and digging a lot of signals I got the signal that I have been waitting along time to hear. The Morgan was only three inches down and the soil in nothing but sand, its on the flood plane of a local river. It was a very productive day i dug several buttons a junk neckless charm a 1890 Indian head and a lot of junk. I love getten on a virgin sight and I cant wait to get back. I have a habit of not diggen deeper then five or six inches if I'm confident I'm the only one on the sight that way after they plow the fields its basically a virgin sight again. Sorry I don't have pics of the total days finds but just one of the Morgan and pics not of the highest quality but the dollar is in very fine condition!
Thanks for looking and happy hunting
