Started digging to put in drainage lines, before I started I ran the detector over where the telephone lines are ( I ripped it out anyway with the back hoe ). I got a hit and dug up a 1929 Mercury dime. then today while being bored, I thought I would run the detector over the area that the soil had been disturbed and up popped a 1844 large cent. Made my Day !!!

Congrats on your first 1800's coin! Is that your yard? Any history to the property or were the finds just a total surprise??

nice LC!!!! MR TUFF

Welcome to Tnet! Nice merc,,,,,,to bad bout the phone lines.

Wow, I'd be looking real close at that yard. Great finds and it looks like that yard might hold a lot more
goodies. I'd go real slow, dig all targets and get ready for more goodies to pop out of the ground.
