My First Ring!

Had a good hunt today.
Mac232 and I went to an old high school
football field. We dug quite a handfull of clad
and older cents (no wheats). We were just about to leave
when my wife called and said she wa bringing us some
drinks and snacks...I love my wife. We rested for a bit
and I got up and started swinging again. I got a strong
dime signal on my Landstar. Started digging and couldn't
find the dime...Swung the coil back over the plug and BEEP!
I mashed up the plug with my hands...still no dime. I was
just about to cover the hole and chalk it up to a phantom
signal when this fell out......needless to say, I did the
HAPPY DANCE!

zinc cents: 8 (various dates)
memorial cents: 9 (61, 69d, 70, 75, 76, 78, 79, 81, 81)
Roosevelt dimes: 6 (72, 83p, 87d, 89p, 94p, 95d)
Jefferson nickels: 3 (69, 85p, 89p)

WTG LD!! You'll never forget your first ring and it's a cool one too. Mine was .925 silver also and ironically, it was a moon! I'll never part with it! Those finds look like they been in the ground a good while. Don't you love the way silver holds up?

Congrats. I too know very well that excitement of finding a first ring. I have been metal detecting for about 2 1/2 months now and found my first about a month ago on a tot lot. WTG and good luck finding lots more.
