My first Shield Nickel 1869

Hunted an old homesite in Central VA where I previously found a Wisconsin CW button and some bullets. Finally was able to find my first shield Nickel happy I was able to see a date. Back is much better than the front but I will take it.

Nice coin! My first and only shield nickel, the date was unreadable..., so consider yourself REALLY lucky...!

Cleaned it with white vinegar and salt as it was in bad shape and date was not legible.
