My First Silver!!! Merc & Wheaties!!!!!
I got out for around 6 hours on Sunday to do a little hunting. I had been eyeballing an old train depot in a nearby town and thought I would give it a try. Hunted around it for a while but nothing but trash. I decided to hunt that post office right next door. I started at the rear of the property moving toward the front. The first signal I got was a solid dime signal at about 5 inches. Dug it up and got this 1944 Merc. I nicked it diggin it up. I found the 1942 wheatie in the same hole. So always recheck those holes. A couple of signals later I got this 1952-d wheatie. I also found an old lock and a bunch of clad. Had a good time and I am looking forward to giving it a try again in a couple of weeks.
