Went to a local park today that has a spring that has been a gathering place for over a hundred years. I got out of my truck and started swinging. About halfway between where I parked and the spring I got my first good signal. I dug it out and couldn't tell what type of dime it was at first so I put it in my pouch.

After detecting a while I went down by the spring to wash all my finds and it was there that I saw her face.

I couldn't get the black staining off but it looks to be in decent shape.

I also found $2.29 in clad with a total of 7 quarters. I've never come across so many quarters in such a small area. 6 of the quarters were in about a four square foot area.

great score !!! rub it between your fingers with a backing soda and water paste

Thanks for the tip. I'll try that.

That's going to shine up very nicely with the baking soda rub. Just do it gently as the baking soda is a gentle abrasive.

Congrats, a barber is a great first silver.
