I'm a relative newbie ( a few weeks) to metal detecting. Today, I found my first silver, a 1903 Barber quarter. I was hunting on private property about 1 1/2 miles from my home. Gave me a bit of a rush, as I was only finding memorial cents for the most part.

As a first silver that is fantastic! Congrats. I'm a year and a half into the hobby and still looking for a Barber anything.

Congrats, keep at it, first silver is a milestone.

A Barber Quarter is a heck of a first silver. Congrats.

Nice first silver. 4 years in and STILL looking for my first Barber...:icon_scratch:

Took me thirteen years to find my first Barber..., and now, I keep hunting in the same area, hoping to find another...! =|

I've been detecting over 3 years and still no silver quarter. Nice work.
