Went back to our latest site for a quick hunt yesterday afternoon. Didn't find much but it still amazes me how a site can continue to give up finds. Dug this 1867 three cent piece in an area I know we've hunted over dozens of times! Just when you think you've hunted a site out it gives up some more! Thanks for looking and hope everyone had a great weekend.

Awesome find! Congratualtions. :occasion14:

Congratulations Darby. That's a nice find. Love the patina on that one.

Man that's an awesome find. You don't see those come up often.

^What he said.^ One of those is on my bucket list. Congrats on such a neat find.

Nice job Darby. I'm still looking for one of those little buggers. Not many coins left on my wish list, but that is one of them.

Very well done Darby. You don't see very many of those found. Congrats and best of luck to you!

I found one in a hunted out place. that place had been hunted at least 20 times that I know of. It came up around 40 on the AT pro. But it was a nice repeatable signal. Maybe they just thought it was trash. I am so glad they did. They are so little. Congrats.

Thanks everyone for the comments! I was thrilled to find it as it was my first and we don't find many coins here! And yes Scruggs it does show just how much gets missed. Me and two of my digging buddies have hit that area numerous times!

Oldjerseygirl, it did ring up in the 46/48 range making me think it was another piece of lead, but it was a little louder and cleaner tone. Nice surprise when it popped out the dirt! Thanks again for the comments and hope everyone has a great week!

Being that small & made of cooper/nickel ; one has to almost dig everything to find on of that type .
Ill take that 3 center any day.

Thanks Davers. It rang up like a small piece of lead would. I dig them even though I know what it is but a small cuff button fooled me one day, ringing up the same just like that three center did! I don't dig all signals (probably should!), but on a site like this one 40 and up gets dug! Thanks again!
