Please Think of Him :sadsmiley:

Cancer Found in his knee :sadsanta:

just turned 40 in January

Synovial sarcoma cancer

Well, chemo and radiation both needed BUT the blessing is that it hasn’t spread!! The chemo I need will require me to be hospitalized 4 days at a time, then off 3 weeks for radiation, back in 4 days etc until I’m through 3-4 chemo sessions. Then after all that, 2 months of rest followed by the invasive surgery to hopefully remove this tumor without limb loss. Worst news for me is that during that time I’m home and hospital bound, no visitors but we can make up for that later! I go in for round one hospitalization March 7, next Saturday.

This may all sound scary but it’s great news compared to what I expected to hear today. Somehow this was caught early enough.

Thoughts will be with him in his fight.
He sounds very positive about the treatment!

I'm glad they caught it early. Still going to need lots of support to get through the treatment. Will keep him in thoughts and prayers.

Yes ! In between he will be Quarantined at Home. He turned a Spare Room into a Special Germ Free room
with Hospital Grade Equipment. And Even the Kids need to be Sterilized when they come home from School.
With so many Virus's going around, his lack of an Immune system, Has me a bit Worried for Him more then the radiation.

Thanks to All who Responded :coffee2:

I will be keeping your nephew in my prayers. I kind of know what it entails, my wife is taking a certain pill as a counter against recurring cancer due to the radiation in the pill.

DJM. Been there done that. You can do it. You got a good support group. Hang in there. We're rooting for you.

Fight DJM. Fight.

Then recover and try to show your slow movin Uncle how to really metal detect! (If you can keep up with him. :laughing7:)

Will have Dennis in my prayers.

Man, that does sound scary but let him know we're all hoping for a great outcome and a bright future ahead for him!

I’ll be praying for him.

Good Luck on your recovery journey. :headbang:

I will pray for your full recovery. May God Bless. :angel1:

Attitude is big! You have my prayers!

My thoughts and prayers are with you Dennis, along with your loved ones and the doctors and nurses who are all there with you.

Hey everyone!! Thank you so much for the kind words and support. Keep the prayers going up because I’m feeding off of them. First of three chemo rounds is done. Exhaustion and boredom rule my life right now but it’s short term pain for the long term. My battle plan is simple, positivity and humor. So far so good. Thanks everyone!

Hang in there. You will beat this. The thoughts and prayers of my family will be with you and yours as you work through this temporary setback.

Prayers sent for a complete recovery. I am a cancer survivor of sorts having two malignant melanomas removed about five years ago. Been cancer free since.

Updates:

Sat 3/21/2020 : March 30 is my next day admitted.
Been doing radiation which was to be painless.
Sadly not the case for me, it’s irritating the nerve bad so I’ve been in a daze the last two days.
Max pain pills allowed and it still hurts. Ugh. Tv sucks but it’s all I have now lol.

Tomorrow i get admitted for the week for my second of three chemo treatments and my 11th of 22 radiations. I’m doing well my friends, very well all things considered. Thank you again for the outpouring of love and generosity. I pray you all stay safe through the pandemic. I can’t wait to lift a drink in celebration of my treatments ending (end of April) and the world hopefully starting back up, on the same day
