My next permission! Can anyone provide historical timelines for these foundations?

Both of these foundations are on a farm and appear on 1800's map. Can anyone tag a time period on the foundations based on the appearance, type of stone and material each were built with?

Also, what were those two arch openings used for back then?

Probably a mill race. The artifacts will give a better idea of time frame.

Inside the arched openings are 3 walls approximately 4 feet deep by 4 feet across.

Looks good regardless of age. You will know from the deeper targets. If you can access older topographical maps for the area you could form a timeline. You may spend some time removing modern items before getting to the level from the initial establishment of the structure. Be patient and it could be outstanding.
