My Oddest CRH find ever today

What's up everyone.. In addition to the sniping teller I discovered today and the two banks forgetting to order my boxes, I made my weirdest roll hunting find ever and the way that I found it has me particularly perplexed on how exactly it even got into the box.. As usual, I emptied all my rolls on the table and looked for enders, but when I took the first empty wrapper and went to place it in the box, I saw this at the bottom.. I don't understand the writing and I am not catholic, so maybe someone on the forum who is catholic can enlighten me to its significance.. From what I see, it is a Saint Benedict medallion.. It is the exact size of a dime, which would explain at least a little bit, but the additional piece at the end (that you would connect your necklace to) makes it bigger and obviously wouldn't allow it to ever get into a roll.. My question is, How would this even end up in the bottom of my box? I had always assumed that the dimes were rolled and then the rolls put into the box by a machine separately, so I am confused how this medallion would have made it far enough through the process to end up in the bottom of my box.. Either way it is a pretty cool find.. There are not any sterling markings on it, but it sure feels and sounds like sterling.. I assume the necklace may have been marked since the medallion is so small.. If anyone has any info, I would love to hear it.. Happy hunting everyone..

I'd say its the packers. Saw and episode of how its made on discovery on coins and it showed Brinks outfit and they are definetly packed by hand after the machine rolls them

This is a pretty outlandish find, Is it magnetic? And regarding that episode, it is nowhere to be found on the internet, even tried to download it via torrents and no-one is seeding..

The inscription you are talking about can be found on a Benedictine medal. The words are Latin for Eius in obitu nostro praesentia muniamur' meaning May we be strengthened by his presence in the hour of our death.
Usually on the medal you will find the letters 'C S S M L' and 'N D S M D' which are the initials of the Latin prayer that says Crux sacra sit mihi lux. Nunquam Draco sit mihi dux. which translates to May the holy cross be my light, may the dragon never be my guide.
Above the cross you will see the word Pax meaning peace.
Surrounding these you usually find the letters 'S M Q L I V B' and 'V R S N S M V' which translates to the Latin Vade retro Satana! Nunquam suade mihi vana. Sunt mala quae libas. Ipse venena bibas. meaning Begone Satan! Never tempt me with your vanities! What you offer me is evil. Drink the poison yourself.

Thanks a lot Cali shawn.. I really appreciate the insight.. I did magnet test it and it is not magnetic, so I am not sure what to make of it. it is a cool find none the less.. I wish i knew how it got in that box.. Because it really is the exact size of a dime..
