I found this years ago in Laguna, Texas. It kind of dissapeared from my "new finds" box. I saw it peeking out of the camp rock flower bed after the freeze wilted all the posies. No doubt my lovely wife thought it would look good there. I'd better go put it back. Lone Star

Did you knock any pieces off it,or is that how you found it? pretty cool material oh yeah,Wifes will do that kind of stuff

Salty Dog, I found it that way. It kind of looked different coming out of the dirt. The fracturing on the business end was done by whoever left it for me thousands of years ago. Many times in camp areas where there is an abundant supply of tool stone I'll find peices that were given an edge for what appears to be an immediate use, and discarded. It doesn't show much use at all considering how well it fits one's hand. The other thing is the cobble shape itself. The density of the interior as well as the color of both inside and out is out of the norm at that location. A scant 100 miles away near the Devils River I've seen this type of tubular cobble formations. They seem to resemble sections of fossilized Dino bones. The inside is always clean and uniform like solid glass. Thanks lone Star
