Rehunted an 1850s farmstead site today and found these. I pretty much dig everything that isn’t obvious deep iron or a pop can overload. Thought it was apiece of a tab top at first but upon brushing it off I saw it was round. A shocker when I saw it was a silver coin.

Nice job on the Spanish silver.
 

I learn something from this site on a regular basis; I don't believe that Spanish silver was a regular coinage this far north (IN/IL/MI). Nice finds.
Rereading my Michigan history and of course see that we had the Spanish here as well.
