My Oldest Token/Coin Yet!!!!!! *1669* New pics.New camera!

Okay here is the story.Nasty day been raining seems like for ever here.Left this morning anyway to go back to this spot that just keeps producing coins for me and very old stuff.Other then today being so nasty with rain,wind NE 25 mph,and tide high.Once off the boat all good.With the tide so high I was planing to work the edge of the woods at this site.Been wanting to anyway was trying to wait till cooler weather but with the wind blowing so hard it kept the mosquitos at bae.I could see my GTI 1500 was liking the ground being damp.IT was picking signals up in places I had been quite a few times already,was liking that.Anyway got started and was poping old buttons,early musket shot,and some realy nice old pieces of buckles out.When I got the signal for this coin.Right away I knew it was going to be old.They just all have been 1730 hammered cob,1746 milled real,Irish half pennys.Anyway got it out and could see the date right away 1669 Happy Dance?YES and then some.But got a problem don't yet know what it is.So PLEASE HELP! Don't want to mess it up.

yeah, English 17th C token (brass halfpenny) - wow in the US They were only spendable in the 1 shop that produced them.

(in middle, strange, I only seen halfpenny & farthings)

IN 1669 (= the place name)

Otherside shows a wool rack or something?? With the Owners Name? What letter & spaces do you see?

yeah, English 17th C token (brass halfpenny) - wow in the US They were only spendable in the 1 shop that produced them.

It probably passed for a Farthing. I'm not in the US but almost anything was accepted here.

Some history:
In 1644, the English Parliament decided to stop making coins. This action caused a severe shortage of the small, or low denomination, coins that people use everyday. To help with the problem, many store owners had coin-like tokens made to give as small change to their customers. The next time the customers shopped at the store they could use these tokens like money, even though they were not real coins. Often these tokens were stamped with the names of the shop and a design that told people who didn't know how to read where they could spend them. For example, a tobacco shop token might show a smoking pipe. The tokens were usually of value only in the neighborhood or city where they were issued. The use of tokens in England continued until the English king Charles II ordered the minting of small coins in 1672. The crown punished people who continued to use the tokens, so many people were probably stuck with useless tokens.
