Yesterday while I was working I happened by a park that I didnt even know existed until earlier this week, so I went to check it out. It didnt really look like too good a place to hunt for "OLD" coins. It was very large and not any large trees, but one thing caught my eye. Off to the side there was an area with 10 horseshoe pits. So I climbed out of truck and grabbed my Ace 250 and threw out the line by the pits. Almost instintly - BINGGGG. I thought - yeah right - and out popped a 1911 Wheatie. Not in very good shape but the date is clear whn wet. I cant wait to go back there when I am on my time next time !!

Good job. I've found a few nice rings around horseshoe pits too.

Sounds like you might have a park with some history to it that's trying to desguise it's self as a more modern park. Definitly worth another visit. WTG!! HH
