My son had a better morning..without a detector!

I found only 46 coins...but a neat looking metal angel...only marking is v + k on back. My son found the baseball glove which retails for $60 by the soccer post while we walked the dogs this morning at the park. So I went back instead of the new park I was about to go to...oh well...

I've found a couple of those angel discs too. One has HOPE on the back, they are heavy and plated brass? I don't know just what they are other than a good luck piece?

Kyle is a lot braver then me...He is only 65 pounds and the lightest kid on his team...They have him playing on the defensive line...They were playing a team that finished 3rd in the whole country at that level...two kids on the offensive line against him tapped each other on the helmets...like they were going to do something on the next play..they did. they both hit him so hard...he flew backwards off his feet and landed on his back...next thing I knew he was up chasing the running back...after the play he was taken out..was a touchdown in a 30-0 loss they were undefeated before the game...when he came out he said "dad they really hurt me" holding his right arm...next thing he wanted to go back in and help his team...the score did not matter...I don't think he had any idea how bad the score was...3 other kids on his team were also injured including the running back who was crying and would not go back in...this team was a machine!

Thanks for letting me know it was a good luck piece! I knew it was a religious symbol of some type...but the metal type as i was yesterday when someone asked me if the knight I found was pewter...I am clueless... I have no metal testers...use a jeweler...no rock tumbler...but a hell of a lot of dirty coins...will buy when soon...but it came up in the reading like a penny...so maybe brass...copper...but the coating is like chrome on mine... daughter(12) just came down stairs and picked it up...I always leave my finds on desk...she said oh you found a good luck charm and walked away...she also works the new dvd/tv for me...at 44 I am already starting to feel old!

You are right Jack..the better parks are on way home from work...but who knows how the new ones will be...Tuesday in that suburban park I went to, it seemed the guy running the tractor with the aeriator thing on the back was intentionally driving real close to me...even thought the park was large...so I went in an area he could not drive the tractor!

Some good finds, especially the glove. It seems like the guys that mow these areas like to do where ever you're at just to jack with you. It happens to me regularly. There may be a 50 acre park, and they'll start where you are at. Way to go on the finds.

Ok I thought this was just happening to me....in the parks I go to the guys that pick up the trash are friendly...The guys on the tractors no matter where I am at seem to start to come by me...I always go just where they finish...but this guy kept coming back to same area...it was a shame I pulled 23 quarters from that 20 x 20 area and when he circled the field he kept coming there...by the time he was done a group of parents/teachers took over the spot with 20-30 kids, blankets and soccer balls...This park seems trash free and loaded with quarters...it kind of ruined my hunt and I left. The park is near my doctors and mother in laws house...very upscale neighborhood. Guess I will have to do one of those 6am hunts on them!
