my strangest find???

So up comes this round ball with an 82 signal on ATP, found out at about four inches. I rub the dirt off and it seems like I have an eye ball with a safety pin through it type of finial thing?!?!?!! It could be silver plate or possibly all silver but does have some sort of corrosion on a welded spot? Very heavy. Its got my whole family puzzled!

It looks to be a Christmas tree ornament - The top is where you would put in the wire hanger like most bulbs.
