I fell in the 30" inch snow TWICE this January and could not get up. I eventually figured it out, but I feel for you. I see the end of detecting coming too, tripped over an old fence a few weeks ago and wrench my neck. It lived.
Had some therapy advice yesterday. How to pull yourself up using furniture. Chairs or table. Last week I was sort of trapped on large round slick river rocks. Only way for them to help would be if I stacked them up. At least I had a tool with a long handle rather than my detector. For my 74th birthday I bought me a cowboy hat. The "GUS" style worn in Quickqly down under and GUS in Lonesome Dove. Love those movies. And the hat suits me...
