My two cents worth!!

Last Saturday was my first time back out since my brother and I returned from England. Let me tell you, that was one fantastic adventure. We will post some of our finds later.

I got out to a new field next to a late 1700's home that I had detected before. This place has always provided some nice finds. This Saturday was no different. I located two nice early pewter buttons, a really nice small ornate lock plate and two large cents 1826 and 1828 both in pretty nice shape. I only covered about 1/10 of the very large field. At that rate, there should be another 18 out there to find, (I wish). Thanks for looking...Lance

Very nice. Would love to hunt a place with that kind of age. Finds always tell the age of the activity that took place on the property. 1820's large cents - Sweet.

Nice large cents! Every time somebody posts these I recall back years ago I had 7 or 8 that were nice and thick and I never bothered to clean them. I sold them cheap on ebay. Man, talk about dumb! To this day I've wondered what they were.
