My purpose for today, more so than usual, was simply to enjoy myself.

I believe I've accomplished that today.

It started like this:

First "hit" ???

2017 (576).jpg

Now....how's THAT for a start! LOL

The whole day was beautiful, weatherwise, the finds kept coming
and although I am one tired puppy, it was fun!
A very mixed bag too!

2017 (577).jpg
2017 (578).jpg

A somber reminder.

2017 (579).jpg

A couple Euro cents and a no value token.
Pretty much redundant. ;)

2017 (580).jpg

Fishy with his new toys and my Royal arrowhead.

2017 (581).jpg

Here's a better look.

Now......before you start trying to tell me that this
couldn't be a Royal arrowhead......

Let me flip it over for you.....

2017 (582).jpg

See!?!?

2017 (583).jpg
2017 (584).jpg

Interesting.....isn't it. :)

2017 (586).jpg

Blingster with his new shiny-shiny.

2017 (585).jpg

The earring has a tiny, star shaped "stone".

2017 (587).jpg

....and the reverse of the little "Bless" charm
pretty much sums up the day. :)

Thanks for peeking!

Just getting out there is half the battle.
A nice stroll, to a tot lot with goodies for everyone, priceless!
Congrsts!

Blingie is happy with his bling. Fishy's got some reflective finds.
You scored well on the clad, with a little foreign ex- change thrown in, and a blessing!

Your royal arrow head intrigues me! I like little unusual finds like that. Very nice looking!
I often add peculiar items to the goodie bag myself.

Sometimes its just a picture of what i can't take with me.
Usually the peace of mind is the most prized of my finds, but thats a little hard to photograph.

Just as an aside, I really don't plan to go for my walks on a tot-lot. It's just a rule I've gone by for a very long time.
If I happened to be where a tot-lot is present, I always make a superficial scan of it to rid the place of nails, screws, broken
cans, bottles etc. Also try to remove any sharp, rusty bits of metal. I'm just trying to give back. I also like to think I have
saved many, many young feet and hands from an unnecessary trauma. They have enough to do, just growing up.

If I find a few pennies, batteries don't come cheap. :)

OK I'll bite. What is a Royal Arrowhead?

Looks like a triangle shaped rock to my untrained eye.

"Trained eye", unneeded in this sort of foal-da-ral. ;) .

It is.......what it is. A gold spotted, triangle shaped, arrowhead.....errrr....ahhhh....rock. :dontknow:

Anyone who wants to hazard a guess, feel free. I can't make up my mind if the "gold" is just mica or something else?
If it helps any, the pinpointer doesn't react. :)

I'm afraid I don't know my minerals very well. This appears to be some sort of slate, with some kind of gold colored something in one spot.

Just a strange rock, I guess.

The gold colored spot looks to be a pyrite crystal. Iron Pyrite typically has a cubic crystal habit and in certain conditions (like in slate for instance) can form extremely perfect crystal cubes of decent size like this:

That's an awesome mineral find; congrats!
