I am settling into quite a schedule . A Sunday hunt and a Wensday after work hunt is becoming the norm . I am still working 6 days a week and my boy's lacrosse has started up so I don't know if my hunt time will increase much anytime soon . Today I pounded my home site again for 3 hrs . I managed to pull another oldie out of there today . A 1775 George III in a ok shape :hello2:. Another first for me ! I found a George II on this site last year. Also found the sweet little colonial shoe buckle . Not very big but you can tell it's old . Also found the Iron buckle not too far away from that. I Hit a spot with the two lead soldiers I was hoping to find a whole army :laughing7: But just the two . A pistol round ball , a 1942 merc , a wheatie and a 1962 canadian cent also turned up today . Thanks for looking ! MaineRelic

8 inches down in a nice loamy sand. I wish this site had more activity from back then because it treats the coins fairly well ! M.R.

love the buckle! congrats on a good hunt!

:o the 1775 is a great way to get away from it all after a hard days work :icon_thumleft: Nice digs MR :occasion14:

:icon_pirat: That coin looks great! And a good idea to use the strainer for rinsing off the keepers in the sink without losing them. :icon_thumright: Don't tell Charlie I said that tho. He still thinks I wash them outside to keep the dirt from clogging the drain. :P :D

Congrats on all those finds!! Nana

Great hunt you had, nice George and buckle.

That's pretty good for an after work hunt.
Anything 1700's is getting back there for this side of the pond.
We did have a somewhat similar wednesday, one copper, one buckle. Your coin older, and a lot better.
The soldiers are cool too.

That George III is in great shape. :icon_thumright:

Nice finds. I've been detecting for over 20 years and still haven't found anything from the 1700's.

That KG III is better than most

Your oval buckle is actually a knee buckle. Nice find!
