the two points are different,were they made about the same time.jamey
 

I don't know if they were made at the same time
how can I tell?
 

The plains side notched point is definately newer than the Avonlea in the bottom row. The Avonlea is the oldest true arrow point on the plains.

Very nice finds there Larson. Your wife has a good eye.

quito, the point that we thought was avonlea is not
after looking at it closer it is the end of a bigger point
it was repaired by cutting notches in it (doesn't look like a very good job but I'm sure it worked)

Interesting. The notching they put on that broke sure gives it the typical Avonlea form.
