Found this last week with the WW2 medal I posted. Didnt think much of it so just today I washed it off and showed to a buddy who thought it may be from the same time period. Anyone know?

not sure but i found one almost the same a couple weeks ago

It is made for a Web belt but not a military issue buckle.
Some of the guys would have the center engraved or solder a coin to it. It was a keepsake that would remind them of their time in the service or the places they visited.

A little tidbit of info... the design around the border is called a Greek Key design.
