Mystery Gun Found

Hey guys, please let me know if you have any information about what kind of gun this could be. I know nothing about guns. I found it metal detecting in my yard in Wisconsin, about 12 inches down. The barrel has a chunk missing in the front. The barrel is about 9 inches long. With the handle it measures around 10 inches.

No breech, no mechanism, thin cast barrel? Looks like a cast iron toy pistol.

If you know anyone at the hospital, ask them to X-ray it!!! I think its a toy as well. NEAT find!!

Not sure what I would do. Evapo-Rust works wonders. I don't know if I would try it on this or not. May not be anything left when it finished.

It's definitely a toy, I've never seen that particular one before though and couldn't find it online, but I just did a really quick search.... Cool find!

Not real, it's a toy,decrotive or possibly a cigarette lighter pistol

not a real gun, but does have a lot of similarities to extremely early BB guns

I cannot picture a child's hand reaching that trigger while holding that handle that's a big space

sadie nice find, i lightened some of the imgs, i think i can see some good
metal on the trigger guard. and looks like a seam in the barrel
maybe a soak in oil and a lite tap on the rust
then there is always electrolysis metal cleaning, you can read up on that
