Mystery Iron

So I found this.... I’ve been puzzling over it for a while, and posted over at a blacksmiths forum of which I am a member. So far no one has recognized it. I assumed it was blacksmith related as it is a big heavy block of iron. I figured I would give it a try over here and see if you folks had any idea since you all are some of the best detectives I’ve ever seen. It’s probably 8” long. 3” tall and 1 1/2” thick. Not including the base. Thanks,

could be a swage block, for a specific job. Two strips hammered over that and placed back to back would make kind of a spade shape

If it were somewhat smaller I'd guessed a power hammer die. Can we see the bottom?
