Im hoping to uncover some information about this sandpatch tag, it was found near the 1860s button.

In 1916, the H.S. Kerbaugh Inc. company was located at 700 Telephone Building, Buffalo, NY. They were contractors and in February of that year they were bidding on a Barge Canal Work.
