What is this I found today at a yard sale? The same face is on both sides, there is a leaf or feathers on the side of one of the heads, also there is a pattern of 3 solid stripes, then 3 rows of 4 dots then 2 squiggly lines. This pattern repeats 3 times around the top. The cheeks of both faces have 4 curved lines and are colored in with orange, as is the base and the middle and the top of this piece. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

In my opinion ... neither... I would guess South America... Inca / Mayan style... most pieces like this are copies or just made up characters made to look old... tons of this was sold to the tourists... anyway.. I tried to look at your pics closer but they would not open... if I can see close up I csn tell alot more about the piece.

Yupp, most likely a tourist piece from somewhere in Central or South America. They still make this sort of thing today, and they do their best to age them too.

Would like to see close up of finish / texture ... get in as close as you can. then I will be able to tell if authentic.
