is this Native American? the inside looks to be charred, and i think this was fired in a homemade kiln, like in art school-a metal trash can with hay perhaps? TIA!

Judging from the intricate designs on the thing I'd say it wasn't the potters first go at it. If it's NA it's recent NA, not ancient. Gary
