Hey guys,

I have been looking around an old WW2 wolframite mine;

Near the mine we can find many white quartz, some with little bit metal embedded;

Here is the best specimen i found, others were smaller : DSC00123.webpDSC00123.webp

I had to break it open to see the metal; I also polished it on one side, just to try;

I took pictures with different luminosity so you can better see the metal color; To me, it looks too grey/silvery to be wolfamite, what do you think ?

I also found some green rocks INSIDE the mine, maybe serpentinite, or low quality jade, tell me if you want to see , i'll take some pictures..

(2nd rock in picture is, I beleive, iron ore with pyrite inside, found in a garden)

Will a knife scratch it? If rubbed against a unglazed piece of porcelain, what color do you get?

Similar does not mean the same. I'd recommend also doing the tests above and post in a new thread.
