I think better pictures are needed. It looks like it could have been cleaned and maybe lower grade than AU, but it may be the pictures. Also is it mintmarked?

no mint mark... never been cleaned.. and it is a ground find.. MR TUFF
 

Nice ones! I really like the artzy commemorative silver coin.

My 2010 Redbook, which is more of a facts and figures guide than it is an accurate price guide, says:

1908 Barber quarter in AU50 in P,D,O mint listed at $115. S mint lists at $465.
Professionally graded would take into account environmental damage.

Grading would still most likely mark it as cleaned once inspected under magnification. It probably wouldn't be worth sending it is, and better to sell on Ebay with some good pics. (If it's for sale)
