Need help buckle id

It's pretty plain, just need a round about age. Just realized I even had it. It's been sitting in my junk metal bag in the back of my truck for months! First buckle.

Most of these went on horse tack. They didn't change much over the period 1880-1940s. You would need a little site context to narrow it down a little.
