Need help identifying marks in a ring

I found a ring on the street with some confusing marks. first there's a 92.5 which I know is sterling silver, But next to that there is an AU which is the chemical symbol for gold, and next to that is a c in a circle. It also a cascade of stones that look like amethyst. Is this ring silver or gold?
