need help identifying odd shaped green rock

I found this by chance in a dry creek bed. I've tried to identify it myself with online guides, but I'm no geologist. Hoping someone can give me clue as to what this is. Its very reflective/shiny, extremely hard, jagged. Looks like a weird rocketship if you stand it upright. Has me stumped.

What region of the country did you find it in?
A closer picture of the flat surface and of the dark, notched, end will help as it looks to have terminations there.

On a guess amazonite. Another thought is green beryl or emerald. Just a very ruff guess based on what I think I see in that notched area. Good color though.

I also believe that it Amazonite but man, in those last pics, it looks like some greenish-blue Jades I have seen.

I'd be tempted to guess amazonite as well. I'd go back and look for more! Traverse slowly upstream, if you are lucky you'll find the source.

The problem I see with amazonite is it's scarce in the US. Only Colorado and Virginia as far as I can tell.
Time for some tests.

That's very strange then. The creek runs through these woods that surround a major cemetery. Also, there used to be an old neighborhood there that was torn down in the 70s. Now people use it for 4 wheeling and a garbage dump. We've found some pretty cool vintage glass soda bottles though.

I scraped it a few times with a nail and nothing happened. I'm not sure what that would mean though.

Something else I noticed was the direction of the Crystal grains( I don't know the technical term for it) on the flat side.







The area in red, the grain is horizontal. The area in blue is going vertical at a slight angle.
It's almost like 2 different pieces fused together. I'm not sure if this is normal or not?

Amazonite is also found in tailings from the Old Ray Mica Mine outside of Burnsville, NC along with Aquamarine, Morganite, White Beryl, Zircon, Tourmaline and many other minerals. I found an impure Amazonite specimen (heavily mixed with the Feldspar parent or host rock there back in the late 1990's.
