These two bullets were passed down to me some time ago. And I have been circling the web trying to find matches and I can't so I thought I would test the brains at treasurenet. If anyone can help me identify these I would be very grateful.
I have the size measured in the picture of both bullets. No markings on the casings. But very worn down.

Rimfire or centerfire?

If rimfire a .50 US pistol round.

If centerfire a .40-70 (possibly "Maynard")

Based on no images, dimensions or other descriptions than "unmarked". There aren't many unmarked cased cartridges, by the way.
