Hi, well i just got nearly 200 antique buttons at an antique shop. I need some help with them. The are all two piece buttons except the top 4 in the first picture. They dont hace any writing on them except for one of the eagle buttuons that has W.B.CO on the back where the thread went through. Any help on the id is would be great and are thay old, they look kind of new but i am not sure especially the eagle ones in the last 2 pictures because they have different finishes. Thanks for any help.

Nice looking buttons for sure but they all look modern and mostly civilian.

What does it say on this Navy eagle button bottom right?

The one says W.B.CO on it. Also, not seen in the picture, 2 of the eagle buttons looks like it has large but unreadable writing on the back. Its impossible to read what it says.

I think you got some modern Waterbury Button Co. military contract US Navy buttons. Ill have to search the Waterbury site later. http://www.waterburybutton.com/cart/pc/viewContent.asp?idpage=5

Maybe someone recently in the Navy can help.

Your militaires buttons are civilian. Waterbury makes them to this day
I have a posted a link in the past that shows these buttons as French Military. If you search the old What Is Its, you will find the post where we discussed this. They are also made for civilian use. I didnt know that Waterbury made them. These are most likely civilian like the others. :icon_thumright:
