founds these a few months back, did some research on them but couldnt find anything. the 84-Me 6/d thing is made of lead and looks like it had two prongs or somthing on the back. some people said its a RR stamp but i dont think it is i found lots of them and nothing like this, it to thin just about the same form of a quarter..and the RR stamps has iron sticking out of them this has no iron.

The checkerd one i have no idea if it was millitary or civilian on the back where it shows the eagle and wreaths, the left wreath says (plated) and on the right i think it says( soild) idk the shank was melted ontop of that word all i can see is (S...ID)

And the small dome button has two women standing in between a shield, standing ontop of a ribbon? and has a scale above them and the shield, one of those scales that you see that deals with the law, court, justice.

so if anyone can help me with these it would be great because its been months of not knowing what these are..thanks

Bottom one looks like a 1860 Philidelphia Police button ... Close, but not right... I'll keep looking

Ok, actually I think the bottom one is listed as a PA-52 Philidelphia post-civil war uniform button... At any rate it's the Philidelphia Seal, I think.

It is a lead seal, but they were used on many things besides RRs. I have them from wire bales that show the gauge of the wire. They used to put them on poles also.

Yes that is a Philly button post CW. The checkerd button is civilian and dates to around 1814. Large bails of anything had lead stamps, but it is a nice find anyway.
