Doing some local “Pre-1700’s” shipwreck research. Trying to build a list of all recorded pre-1700’s shipwrecks between the Cape Canaveral area and New Smyrna Beach. Here’s what I have so far. Can anyone add to (or correct) the list? Thanks!

1530- a large number of ships lost near Cape Canaveral.
1555- several ships of the Flota de Tierra Firma were lost near Cape Canaveral.
1556- Nueva Espana Flota
1563- La Magdalena at Cape Canaveral
1565- 2 ships north of Cape Canaveral
1565- Ribaut’s ships north of Mosquito Lagoon?
1570- Mt Tucker- 2 ships going from Mexico to Santa Domingo
1571- 2 galleons, San Ignacio & Santa Maria – south of Cape Canaveral
1571- 2 ships at Cape Canaveral (may be the same two above?)
1572- Mt. Tucker- Small tender from St. Augustine to Havana
1572- 1 ship off Cape Canaveral
1579- 2 Spanish frigates near Cape Canaveral
1582- 1 ship south of Cape Canaveral
1582- A Spanish nao, south of Cape Canaveral
1589- 2 Spanish naos & 1 galleon- at Cape Canaveral
1591- no number specified, just a mention of ships lost near Cape Canaveral
1592- A frigate near Cape Canaveral
1600- 1 nao
1611- galleon- Santa Ana Maria del Juncal- June 2nd- off Cape Canaveral
1623- Tierra Firma Floata
1638- Kinsdale- Cape Canaveral
1641- Nueva Espana Flota- south of Cape Canaveral
1683- galleon- Santissima Concepcion- south of Cape Canaveral

Me too. And some of these were richly laden. I'm sure there's more, I just can't find anymore pre-1700's. Thought you shipwreck guys might know of some more. And, some of these may have been already located or they may have actually gone down "not really all that close to Cape Canaveral". I'm just listing them as they were recorded in the sources I've found them in, and Cape Canaveral was a pretty recognizable location back then, so "just south of Cape Canaveral" could have been quite a ways?
