Found this object today. I'm guessing it's part of a pulley rig/system, but, just a guess.

No inscription/writing on the piece. Found at a spot dating back to the 1800's. The edges are raised a wee bit on both sides, with a small groove running between them. The hole in the middle isn't threaded, just an open hole. Appears to be brass or iron.

Any idea???

Joe

I know I have seen little pulleys like that before but I just can't remember where or on what. At first I was thinking it was part of a tool for window screen spline tool.....

I also thought maybe the pulley off of an antique radio tuner, or a belt drive pulley from an old record player...

I would'nt think a window screen press would be brass tho. My guess would be part of the plunger on the old kerosine "pump-up" stoves and lamps, or the piston out of a sausage press.
