Need Seismic Refraction processing Software

That's a logical sequence. It's a program we can call "getting dressed"!

A more logical sequence would be "taking a shower, drying off, then putting your clothes on".

1. Input the data.

Programming can become a challenging issue of syntax. The syntax is important and required notice of the error and correction. My error isn't the subject. Thanks for the correction though.

I bought a Bison 5012 Seismograph and am having trouble finding opensource software that accepts SEG-1 format or allows entering the shot data manually. If anyone has some legacy software that I could buy from you I would appreciate it. I don't care if it's DOS as I have a Windows 98 laptop to run it. Thank you in advance for your help.

I find this problem is a common theme in used electronics that requires software.

I have attempted to provide related support software in an intelligible format that can be compiled into an executable program that runs on a Windows(tm) platform. I will reply to direct requests for the compiled version for those without a compiler.

The other answers aren't very helpful, so I will try to help.

I primarily use Intelligent Resources Rayfract for seismic refraction tomography (SRT) processing and Park Seismic ParkSeis for multichannel analysis of surface waves (MASW). I also use GeoFennex NeST for both SRT and MASW processing. In grad school I used Seismic Unix (SU) that is maintained by Colorado School of Mines for seismic reflection processing.

It looks like Refrapy, PyRefra, or OpendTect: might work for you. The Bison seismograph is an antique, so I'm not sure about the SEG-1 data format, as all modern instruments save either SEG-2 or SEG-Y format depending on user preference. I typically use either a Geometrics Geode or a Seismic Source DAQLink5.
