Need some help.....What is it

I have no idea what this is. Its 8" long 1.5" wide and 1/2" thick . At one end it tapers to about 1/4" thick and it has lines carved in the very end spaced evenly 1/8" apart. The thickest point is down the center and tapers from down the center to outer edges on both sides. I think its made of basault not sure.
















It was found in Northern Nevada. I have never seen anthing like it.

Yes better pics but I do see what looks to be Tally Marks on the end. We really cant see it well.

are those light colored lines grooves? could me an arrow shaft straightener if so

Yes they are groovs spaced evenly apart at the very end. I think it might be an adds or senu comb maybe. Just don't know really. Working on getting better photos
