Need some help!

I turned on my Excaliber 1000 and only have sound on one side of the earphones, any idea's what could be wrong? It seems to be intermittent. Any help or idea's would be greatly appreciated!

Broken wire coming out the back of control box. OR SOME WHERE IN THE WIRE ITSELF. Put the head phones on turn on the detector & start bending the wire to see where the break is. If its not in the wire it's most likely right by the control entrance. But first ck. the head set , take off the side that's not working see if a wire is broken
