Hey all,

In short my wife lost her wedding ring on south beach sunday afternoon. It was dead low tied but we had no luck finding it. I know the exact spot that she lost it. I would like to Hire someone preferably local that can go out to the site with me and see if they can detect the ring. I will pay for your time out and also a reward if found. Please let me know if any of you can help. Thanks!!!!!!!

I'm sure there are a lot of members here that would be more then happy to help but you will need to give some general idea of your location.

It would be Miami beach, FL south of 20th street and Collins ave. I do not want to disclose the exact location for obvious reasons. Hope someone can help. My wife is having a near breakdown.

while you are waiting for a response... go to this part of the forum, where the majority of posts are from people in Florida.
use the link below OR scroll all the way to the bottom after you click "forum" tab on the main page of this site.

Florida

Browse through the posts to get an idea of who might be in your area. You may find posts of folks directly offering help or you may see numerous posts by individuals who share stories of finding and returning rings. You can tell if a member is online currently as they have a little green dot next to their name. If you find a person or 2 that you think could help you can PM (private message them) through a link by clicking on their name. PLEASE BE JUDICIOUS with this option...spam messaging a bunch of people just to cover all the bases is MUCH more likely to get you kicked off and or tick a bunch off people off!

There is also a lost and found section, where this post might get a bit more attention, ask to have your post moved by a moderator. scroll to very bottom of the main page, moderators names are in purple...click on one to message
Lost & Found

Good Luck!

Surprised you haven't got more responce ?
I'd go get it for you in a second, but I'm too many days drive away.
Good luck, have faith, I'm quite certain you will get it back, but you probably should get to it quick as some other beach comber....well you know.

Good advice by finders keepers, look at your own state section and PM a couple of member there, as not everyone check in daily.

Option 2, buy yourself a low priced detector say F2 or ace 250, find the ring yourself, and maybe another along with it.

There is the RTG Store in south Florida, and no doubt many more.

After you find your ring sell the detector, net result would be no more than paying someone else. And get a small sand sifter.

If lost below high water mark you may need a better detector. In the "dry" sand these lower priced units will do just fine.

I wish you the best of luck locating your wife's ring!

I'm sorry to hear no one has stepped up to help you out : (

Renting a detector is a good idea, I'd probably go that route if I was in your position.

Keep us posted!

Here is another resource that may be of help as well...

Lost My Stuff Group - Home Page

You can file a LOST report and hopefully there is someone in your area who can help if someone from here hasn't already been in touch with you. Good luck! Hope you find it!

GO TO THE BEACH FORUM - ASK THE FLA. HUNTERS THERE
IF I WAS GOING DOWN - I'D FIND IT FOR YOU - IVE RETURNED 2 MIAMI LOST RINGS SO FAR

I sent him a pm last night. no reply.
We also have the S. Fl. Treasure Hunters Club, they usually have a list of folks they can call on to go search.
Maybe he found someone to help him.

Well even if he found someone to look for the ring, it's simply good manners to reply to your PM.

Well true that and thank you ErikNJ. Being he was a new poster, he may not know how to get in to the pm's. LOL!, or may not be real computer efficient (ok. I'm making excuses for folks, like I always tend to do).

There was also that guy wanted to take 10 dectorists on his yatch to Elliot Island to find a ring. Here, and on another forum, it was said folks pm'd him, and he never replied.
I'm sure he found someone to help, there's a gazillion md'ers on our beaches every morning in the summer.

Asking for help and not following up is very rude.

Does anyone know if they found her ring?

I'd help for free but PA is way too far away.

I lost mine on a beach and asked a detectorist to look for it and he did, I think he made a mental note of the location in his head phones and went back later and got it.

Keep that in mind. Not saying anyone on here is unethical but not everyone is and odds are...
