Well went back today and boy did I have fun, spent about 3 hours after work. That is want is so great about Germany, you never know what your goind to find. From WWII stuff to Austrian to Spanish... Even a little England for good measure. The buttons span the Nepolianic to the Fench Revolution. The big Silver on top is a 1937 Nazi Silver about the size of a hald dollar.

Which is from England?

Is it the worn silver sixpence of William III (Love Token) bent coin.

Great finds,I always love seeing the old coin finds from over seas.

Sure enought the love token is English. but Also the previous post you will see a English half penny form 1812. Kinda hard to see though. Here is a pic of it again.

Always like to help. I enjoy your posts & keep getting out on that site & showing us more stuff:)

Very nice ! I have a friend over there that is retired army and speaks German and has a ton of books from roman to Napoleionic. He is very knowledgeable. . He lives in Marlautern and has an amazing collection of finds.Let me know if you might want to get in touch with him.

You would be talking about Pat, he is me detecting buddy. He can only go out on Saturdays. We are both waiting for the fields to be plowed.... I'm sure there will be more to find before the year is out. The site I got this stuff from is only the size of a football field, so that site is pretty much dead except for a few unexploded incendiary bomblets from WWII. Also the reason you keep seeing American money in my finds is because alot of these places are close to closed US Army bases.

Yea Pat is a good guy, after I started hunting with him ,my finds got a lot better. It really helped that he could read the German history books and the French also. We found a bunch of German WW2 dog tags one day, that was a blast! ;D HH

Awesome finds, congrats! Germany is a great place to detect. I have not been finding much since everything is planted or overgrown. HH, Mike

I think we are all waiting for the fields to get cleared. We are going out this Saturday to find some places in Mannhiem. I think that the potatos are getting pulled soon so we are going to look for some cleared fields.
