Really? Driven it probably over a hundred times, and I always thought
that was the ugliest part of the desert...:dontknow:

Getting into the high stuff around Big Bear is nice, but I much prefer the
Nevada high desert, like around Manhattan and up in the Toiyabe.

You both are correct on the desert. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

This is somewhere between the Utah border and Ely, Nevada on highway 50. Every time I drive this route I take at least several hundred pictures and I always seem to discover a new gem.
