Went out hunting yesterday and this popped out of the ground. Don't know what to think of it, never saw one like it. Found a couple other brokes and a 3 1/2 incher. Good day.cave/

Interesting!

Wow what a great find.

Probably practicing on a broken head...best guess...

The point, more than likely broke off, and instead of tossing, it was used to master a technique.

Good it be a shaft abrader mjm

Multi tool, spoke shaver, sinew cutter, shaft abrader, engraver, and a nice eccentric.

5000 BC equivalent to a modern Swiss Army tool...:icon_scratch:

Don't think so...

Still unique and the center piece of any collection...

Curious as to the state and county where it was found?

Yeah I was really stoked to find it. Will get some better pics up as soon as I can. I can see a practicing piece, trying to master making a corner notch or something. Thanks for all the replies.

Where was it found? These types are found fairly often in Texas and Oklahoma. It is definitely a nice Eccentirc and a great find.

southern Illinois, Washington co. To be exact.

Thats something you dont see often Id like to see a clean pic of it to.

I have it's bothers from S.W. Ar.Dove , eccentric 003.webpecentric 002.webp very nice find and I would call it an eccentric also.
